Privacy policy

When you buy a part we collect your name, email address, shipping address and what you ordered. When you use the part request, contact or sell-your-vehicle forms we collect what you type into them — typically your name, a phone number or email, your vehicle’s year, make, model and VIN, and any notes you add.

We do not ask for, receive or store your card number. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe on their own pages; we are told only whether a payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference for it.

We set no cookies when you browse or buy. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no third-party tracking script anywhere on this site.

Your basket is kept in your own browser’s local storage so it survives a refresh. It never leaves your device until you check out. Clearing your browser data clears it. A single cookie is used to keep staff signed in to the private admin area — it is never set for customers.

We use a small number of service providers to run the shop:

• Stripe — takes payment and stores your card details. We never see them.
• Supabase — hosts our database and part photographs.
• Vercel — hosts this website.
• Resend — sends order confirmations and our replies.

Carriers receive your name and delivery address so they can deliver your part. Beyond that, we do not sell, rent or share your information, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.

Order records are kept for as long as tax and warranty obligations require — normally several years. Enquiries that do not lead to a sale are kept while they are useful for finding you a part, and can be deleted sooner on request.

Email maautosolution@gmail.com or call 888-555-0142 and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live you may have a formal right to those things; we will honour the request either way. If you signed up for our new-arrivals email, every one of those has an unsubscribe link.

This is a trade and DIY parts shop. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
